If you’re hoping to bring in more money for financial goals like paying off debt or growing your bank balance, a side gig could be the solution. There are plenty of part-time positions you can do around your schedule, many of which can be quite lucrative.

If you’re not sure where to start when looking for one lateral pressure you can do alongside your regular job, financial expert Dave Ramsey has a few suggestions worth considering.

On the Ramsey Solutions blog, no less than 27 side hustle ideas were recommended. These part-time flexible gigs include:

  • Driving for a ride-sharing service, such as Lyft or Uber
  • Deliver food through an app like Grubhub or UberEats
  • Deliver groceries through a service like Instacart or Shipt
  • Taking professional photos, such as family portraits
  • Offer online tutoring through sites like Tutor.com
  • Convert live or recorded audio into written form
  • Complete surveys online or participate in focus groups
  • Learn English through services like VIPKid that prepare lesson plans for you
  • Rent out your home on Airbnb
  • Distribute stuff and resell it for a profit
  • Freelancing on sites like Fiverr or Upwork if you have writing or design talent
  • Cooking for others

  • Become a secret shopper or user tester through sites like TryMyUI
  • Pet sitting or dog walking using apps like Wag or Rover

This list is fairly extensive and includes both high-skill and low-skill side gigs. In many cases, there are apps you can use to easily get started and connect with customers, so you don’t have to build a customer base yourself (which is often the hardest part of starting your own business).

In many cases, some of these side gigs would require minimal or no setup costs on your part, and you could put in as much (or as little) time as you like. Of course, the more side gigs you try and the more hours you put into it, the more likely you are to make good money.

Bringing in extra money by doing a part-time job can undoubtedly help you to get ahead financially. Most likely, you have already set aside your regular income for bills and other expenses. And while you can try to cut costs to save or use more of it pay off debtare there some expenses that you really can’t completely eliminate.

However, if you can bring in more income, this is money that has no purpose yet, so you can use it all for important purposes.
